Barbie Studio Beauty Salons. Main business lines are hair coloring, haircuts and nail service. Also they have additional services such as make up, lash extension and eye brow design.
Task
Creation and implementation of new online marketing and lead generation strategy that results in sales boost.
Starting point
By the time we started the company already had Instagram account and one page website
Challenges
- Quality and quantity of photo and video footage was not good enough for successful beauty salon marketing. So we had to critically improve it.
- One-page website didn't perform good enough to promote all variety of services.
Strategy
The key requirement was to increase online acquisition of new customers. Fortunately, the LTV of the client in this type of business is high enough to afford little or even zero profit for the first transaction. Therefore, the main strategy was defined as follows: attract as many new customers as possible for the first visit and keep them thereafter.
Online marketing strategy included several focus areas:
- Lead generation for each service separetely
- SMM via Instagram and content generation
- New website with landing page for each service
Lead generation via Facebook / Instagram Ads
First of all, we had to determine the offer that would show the best effectiveness. After several tests, we found that the first-visit discount worked best.
We made a 20-30% discount on the first visit for each specific service. By providing such an offer, we gained brand new clients and clients who already use our services, but have not yet tried other services offered by the salon.
We used the following campaign objectives:
- Messages
- Lead Ads
- Website conversions
Since beauty services are a product of frequent choice, there's no need for a site with long, detailed landing pages to promote them through Facebook ads. The main features and benefits are enough to specify in the creative. Potential client is ready to make an appointment decision quickly so messaging and lead forms campaign objectives showed best. As well as short landing pages and appointment forms.
For hair coloring and lash extension videos and photos with the result before and after showed themselves best. For nail services it was static photos.
